CAMPSITE RESERVATION SYSTEM:

Reservations:
Reservations will be accepted by mail or in person only (NO TELEPHONE RESERVATIONS)
Mail reservations will be accepted beginning January 2. (of each year)
In person reservations will be accepted beginning February 1.
Up to six mail-in reservations per envelope, per person will be accepted for campsites or shelters.
Camping groups may mail more than six reservations per envelope as long as no more than six are from one individual.
Mail reservations must be received seven days in advance of the camping date to insure reservation.
Sites may be reserved from April 1 through October 31.
A site may be reserved for a maximum of 14 nights.
A reserved campsite must be vacated by 3:00 p.m. (Unless otherwise stated) on the last day of the reservation period.
Reservations for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends require a minimum 3-night reservation for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Costs:
The reservation fee is $5.00 plus the first night’s fee for each campsite reserved.
The $5.00 reservation fee is non-refundable unless the campground is closed by the Department.
Reservations are not final until confirmed by the site.
The site will mail a confirmation notice to a person making the reservation.
The $5.00 fee is in addition to the regular camping and utility fees.
Class A Campgrounds – Availability of showers, vehicular access, and utility fee: $11
Class D Campgrounds – Tent camping or Primitive sites (walk-in or backpack) with no vehicular access: $6
To reserve a Campsite you must:
1.
Complete the Campsite Reservation Form
2.
Pay the $5.00 reservation fee and first night fee. (PER SITE)
3.
Date of Birth or class 2 disability number must be included on reservation form to qualify for discounted first night fee when applicable. (Illinois residents only)
If you are mailing the reservation, you must send the application and fee directly to the site. Make checks payable to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. (site name)
Remember:
1.
The reservation fee will not be refunded.
2.
Reservations are not final until the fee has been accepted by the site and reservation confirmation notice sent.
3.
Campers must comply with all other Department camping rules which are posted at each site.
