Sullivan firefighters were called to a house fire at 11:48 a.m. Monday at 318 S. Worth.There were no injuries. Firefighters were on scene for about one hour and four minutes and several firefighters stayed after that waiting for the fire marshal to arrive. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Crews started demolishing four buildings Friday located on Main Street in Bethany. The buildings’ addresses were 114, 116, 118 and 120 E. Main Street. Crews will now be working to clean up the site. The buildings are owned by Scott State Bank. There are proposed plans to enlarge the bank’s drive up facilities and possibly create a green area.
