Cholesterol, Triglycerides, and

include a Total Lipid Panel (which includes a
total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides),
and glucose screening (blood sugar). A cholester
ol test is recommended for everyone at least once
every fve years in adults ages 20 and over. A
blood glucose test is recommended by the Amer
ican Diabetes Association every three years for
people with normal levels or in good health with
no risk factors. Fasting for 10 hours is necessary
for the cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar
