Free Play Group
Bright Start is a free play group program that
is funded through the Illinois State Board of
Education for children birth thru age three who
reside in Moultrie County. Play groups meet on
Thursday mornings from 9 to 10:30 at the Early
Intervention building at 203 S. Graham, Sullivan.

Kathy Tilford Benefit
A benefit for Kathy Tilford is to be held March
25 at Cerk’s Place. Activities include an auction,
50/50 raffle, live music and food. Auction begins
at 2 p.m. and the meal begins at 4 p.m.
Throwback to the 70’s Party!
Saturday, March 4, 6pm to Midnight at the
Sullivan VFW. $10 in advance, $12 at the door. For
The Little Theatre On The Square. Put on your
boogie shoes and join us for our Throwback to the
70’s Party. Music, costume contests, door prizes,
cash bar and just a whole lot of groovy fun! All
proceeds benefit The Little Theatre On The

Moms On a Mission in Sullivan: Fellowship with
a Purpose – A group of Christian moms who meet
for fellowship while also striving to grow spiritu
ally and serve our community. A typical meeting
includes breakfast, devotion and discussion, fol
lowed by an activity or service project.
Childcare is provided by church volunteers.
There is a classroom for 2+ year olds, which
includes a snack and a Christian lesson. We also
offer a nursery for 0-2 year olds.
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays
of the month from 9:00-11:00am at the First
United Methodist Church in Sullivan. No meet
ing if there is no school that day.

Open Mic
Allenville Community Building will host an
open mic the last Friday of each month for coun
try music from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Agriculture Breakfast
The fourth annual Celebrate Agriculture
Breakfast will be held Saturday, March 18 in
The breakfast featuring scrambled eggs, bis
cuits, gravy, sausage, milk, juice, and coffee will
be served 7-10 a.m. at United Church of Atwood,
located at 210 N. Main Street.
The breakfast is sponsored by the Arthur
Lovington/Atwood-Hammond FFA Alumni
Chapter. Donations are encouraged and accepted.
All funds raised help support the agriculture
education program and FFA Chapter at ALAH
High School.
Health Screenings
SBL Lincolnland Home Care and Lincolnland
Hospice will conduct a free blood pressure clinic
8:30-9 a.m. on Thursday, March 16 in the Senior
Center in Sullivan. For more information, call

SBL Lincolnland Home Care, Lincolnland
Hospice and Lincolnland Home Medical will
sponsor bingo 9-10 a.m. following the blood pres
sure clinic.
Benefit for Prison Ministry
The 15th annual Gospel Echoes Team prison
ministry benefit auction and haystack supper is
Friday March 17, at The Otto Center in Arthur.
Donations for the 6 p.m. benefit auction are
being accepted. Those willing to donate furniture,
quilts, crafts, tools, new items and gift certificates

The Haystack Supper is served from 4-8 p.m.
Additional treats available include ice cream,
popcorn, pretzels, a bake sale and more.
Gospel Echoes Team Prison Ministry provides
Bible study courses, scripture address booklets
and New Testaments free to those in prison. They
visit 450 prisons a year plus print and ship
558,000 pieces of literature for inmates. More than
150,000 prison inmates have enrolled in the
Gospel Echoes Bible Study School of
50 Plus Gatherings
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each
month from 6:30-8pm. If you are age 50 or older,
please join us! We are a generation with much to
offer in perspective, experience, skills and wis
dom as we extend God’s love within and beyond
the church walls. Vineyard Church, 1805 S.
Hamilton in Sullivan.
Grief Support Group
A weekly grief support group meets 5:45 p.m.
– 7:15 p.m. Wednesdays through March 29.
Meetings are held at the First United Methodist
Church at 216 W. Jefferson in Sullivan. Dinner
and child care are provided at 5:15 p.m.
