14 members attended our January meeting. Greg Yoder has joined our group. He owns several properties here in Sullivan. Several items were taken care of: We will hold our meetings on a quarterly basis. The next meeting is April 25th at the Farm Bureau Building. Agreed to accept “Chamber Bucks” as payment for rent. These checks can be deposited just as any rent payment. The 2 factories are giving them as bonuses and asked if we would accept them if the recipient wants to use them as rent. Renewed our memberships to the CHAMBER, subscription to the News Progress “FOR RENT” header on the WEB site, and our subscription to the Courthouse News. Please send me any updates you have for your rental properties. I am compiling a current list now to send to the area factories, schools, nursing homes, and banks. This gets our names in the peoples hands that are hiring in the area. We also have a business in Mattoon that is offering a large discount to the LANDLORD ASSOCIATION. MAB PAINTS, located at 620 Charleston Avenue (217-234-4846) will give 25% off wholesale on any paint and 20% off wholesale on all rollers, brushes, etc. They also offer free delivery on any order over $50.00. Simply tell the salesman you are a member and he will apply the discounts. Please add Guy Harmison per member #18 to the tenant list If you have forgotten, PLEASE pay your Dues to Ilene Bryant @ 1 Chad Avenue, Sullivan, IL 61951. They are still $25.00.
